You run your orchestras' tours, we handle the passenger transport: from artist car and minivan to midibus, coach and nightliner, always with a driver. Reserved vehicle windows for your tour periods, fixed terms and one contact person for the whole season, instead of a separate quote for every tour.
Touring agencies and concert management agencies are responsible for the groundmobility of their orchestra tours, yet they buy passenger transport anew for every tour: a new quote, a new negotiation, new uncertainty about whether the provider will deliver. The Season Desk, our framework agreement, replaces this chain with one partner for all productions of a season in the DACH region and across Europe: reserved vehicle windows for your tour periods, fixed terms per vehicle class based on volume, an indicative quote within 2 to 3 working days of a complete briefing, and one contact person with more than 30 years of experience in logistics for music groups. Vehicles range from the minivan for soloists to the coach for the whole orchestra, through an affiliated coach company and a curated partner network. There is no purchase obligation. And we never approach orchestras whose tours you promote directly for those tours.

Artist car, minivan, midibus, coach, double-decker, dayliner and nightliner, always with a driver. Instruments in a trailer or van on top.
Capacity for your tour periods throughout the season, including festival season.
From a complete briefing, every item listed separately. Fixed price after same-day confirmation.
We never approach your touring orchestras directly for those tours. Your client relationship stays yours.
Ulf Zimmermann has personally driven ensembles across Europe as a coach driver. Driving times and collective agreement rules are built into the schedule, and the driver is briefed before departure.
The framework secures capacity and terms. Bookings are made per tour, with no minimum volume.
If you look after 8 to 15 ensembles and realise 20 to 40 projects a year, you are constantly collecting individual quotes for coaches and transfers: a different provider in every country, a new negotiation for every tour, and quality is only decided on the day of departure. In festival season there is often no suitable vehicle left at all.
The Season Desk turns this around: vehicle windows, terms, standards and contact person are fixed once for the season, after which every production is just a briefing.
The key points of the framework:
We do not offer the Season Desk first, but once we know each other. The path there is deliberately low-risk.
| Stage | What you get | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Ground Check | Free groundmobility calculation for a real tour or a tour offer to a promoter, with vehicle proposal and outline schedule | You book a tour |
| 2. Pilot Tour | One tour personally managed by Ulf Zimmermann, with debrief and a short tour report | Second booking |
| 3. Preferred Ground Partner | Season Desk for the season: reserved windows, fixed terms, planning meeting, Tour-Link in the agency's name | Framework per season |
ensemble.tours has direct vehicle access through an affiliated coach company and also orchestrates a curated partner network of more than 30 providers in Europe according to our own standards: seating plan and loading plan per line-up, driver briefing before departure, schedules checked against driving time rules (EU Regulation 561/2006) and the collective agreement travel time rules of the respective ensemble. Instruments travel in a trailer or van, and we arrange specialised instrument transport through experienced partner freight forwarders within the same schedule.
The advantage for your portfolio: we dispatch the right vehicle for each production, from the minivan for the soloist to the double-decker for an orchestra with choir. And because your productions make the use of our network predictable, we negotiate purchasing terms that benefit the framework.
Beyond the transport itself, framework partners get tools that make their own work easier.
A clear commitment to every agency: we do not approach orchestras whose tours you promote directly for those tours. Your client relationship is yours, we are your partner in the background. Orchestras' own journeys outside your tours (shuttle services, their own guest performances) remain an open market, and we say so openly.
Confidentiality works both ways: tour plans, terms and booking data stay between us, and we only name you as a reference with written approval.
We are currently building the Season Desk and are taking on framework partners in stages. We would rather say this openly than show an unverified reference list. What the first two to three partners receive: preferential terms and the Tour-Link pilot included, in exchange for honest feedback and, after a successful season, approval to name them as a reference.
The entry point is the Ground Check: a single tour, calculated free of charge. If the comparison with your existing suppliers does not confirm our case, it has cost you 20 minutes.
